A lot of people have misconceptions about irony It's a lost art; using the word for something it actually does mean It's probably on that list of words nobody uses correctly Because nobody uses it correctly! For instance, somebody might say, "hey, I was just talking about you!" "That's ironic!" I'd really like to hear somebody correct him, but nobody does So I have to, "no, that's not irony!" "Irony is different" They might retort with, "Well, what is irony, then?" What is irony! I like that question The answer is: Irony occurs when something happens that is ironic Does that help you? No? OK...
